Dr. Eric Krasa

Dr. Eric Krasa was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, where his father worked for the Office of Strategic Services. They moved to Denver, when he had open heart surgery at age 4.
When his brother-in-law introduced him to falconry as a teen, he had no idea it would eventually lead him to the Middle East. When he wasn't flying his prairie falcons in norhtern Colorado, he studied zoology and veterinary medicine at Colorado State University.
After graduation, he released the falcons and worked at practices in California and Idaho. From 1986 to 1988, he set up a falcon hospital for the crown prince of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
He owned his own practice for 20 years in Idaho. He enjoys the challenges of orthopedic surgery and diagnosing the odd and obscure cases. His interests eventually turned to bird hunting and mule deer hunting and spending time with wife Dianna and daughter Jenna hiking and skiing. |
