Information Needed
- Telephone number(s) that you and/or your spouse can be reached at.
- Exactly what surgeries/procedures you would like to have completed.
Blood Testing
We strongly recommend that all pets receive pre-anesthetic blood testing prior to being anesthetized. These blood tests will check your pets vital organs to help determine whether those organs are functioning properly. Our laboratory is fully equipped and staffed to perform these important blood tests. Results will be immediately available to examine before anesthesia and/or surgery. See Blood Test Reasons
Pain Medication
We include injections for pain with all of our surgeries. These injections typically last up to 24 hours in dogs and up to 72 hours in cats. Additional pain medication will be sent home with your pet to further minimize discomfort and pain.
Dentristry
If your pet is scheduled to have a dental, you will be asked for authorization to extract rotten, abscessed, or broken teeth. If these teeth are left in the mouth of your pet, infection can spread throughout their body and cause a great deal of pain. See Periodontal Disease
Check-Out
Most pets are ready to go home between 3:00 and 5:30 p.m. on the same day of the surgery. In certain surgeries, such as cat declaws, your pet will not be released until the following business day.
